Elbrus Partners awarded SiR accreditation

Standards in Recruitment (SiR), the only independent compliance accreditation programme for recruitment businesses, is pleased to announce that Elbrus Partners Limited have been awarded the SiR accreditation mark of excellence.

Commenting on the latest company to achieve SiR accreditation, John Randall, engagement director for Standards in Recruitment said “I’m very pleased to announce that having successfully completed our compliance programme and audit, Elbrus Partners Limited, a specialist financial services recruitment consultancy based in the heart of the City, has been awarded the SiR mark of excellence.”

“SiR accreditation recognises companies that meet the highest standards in terms of their operational and legal processes and Elbrus Partners Limited will now be able to proudly demonstrate this by displaying the SiR mark of excellence logo on their website and in their marketing collateral. This will give reassurance to investors as well as clients, candidates and suppliers that they run a high-quality and reliable recruitment business in what is a highly competitive market.”

Randall added “As the recruitment industry’s only truly independent mark of excellence and quality assurance, SiR accreditation will reinforce Elbrus Partners Limited’s credentials as a top quality and trusted business. I look forward to announcing further SiR accreditations in the very near future”.

Speaking on being awarded SiR accreditation, founding partner Mark Jukes said “in everything we do, we strive to maintain the highest ethical standards and professionalism, treating both candidates and clients with the same care and respect that we would hope to be treated with ourselves.  Until now there has been no genuinely independent audit of our processes and operations and that is why we were first attracted to Standards in Recruitment.”

Jukes continues “The audit and inspection process was both challenging yet enormously helpful in identifying areas, internal and external, where we could improve and we felt supported along the way by the knowledgeable SiR team.  Elbrus Partners Limited is extremely proud to be one of the early adopters of this innovative and important accreditation.  We passionately believe that our industry needs this kind of quality control and Elbrus is now able to demonstrate to our clients that we don’t just “talk the talk” but have an independently verified measure of the quality of our business practices and behaviour and that we lead from the front in this regard.”

About Standards in Recruitment

Standards in Recruitment (SiR) compliance accreditation programme has been created specifically for recruitment businesses to provide independent and impartial evidence of quality assurance for the benefit of hirers, candidates and investors.

The SiR standards were developed in collaboration with industry stakeholders including recruitment agencies, client organisations and legal experts. A core requirement of SiR accreditation is that it applies consistently and reliably across all recruitment operations in all sectors.

The accreditation process sets out a framework that encourages business improvement and good practice in recruitment.  Adherence to the standard’s principles is verified through a three-stage process that and comprises a gap analysis, a legal audit and operational audit conducted by independent legal professionals, and qualified independent auditors experienced in standards such as ISO, IIP and Lexcel (legal standard). The gap analysis and operational audits are carried out on site using standard auditing principles to ensure consistency in outcomes. The gap analysis is designed to assist business identifying areas in their management and operational processes that might require improvement.  When change is implemented this strengthens the internal operations of the business. The auditing process examines and evaluates process documentation, management practices and legal governance relevant to the sector of operation of the business. A certificate of compliance is issued on completion.

Accreditation extends over a two-year period.  Accredited businesses are awarded use of the SiR logo which strengthens the businesses appeal to customers.

Once awarded, accreditation is subject to re-audit after 12 months, ensuring consistency, reliability and confidence. It also promotes continuous improvement and provides quality assurance for an accredited business’s customers.
